How to Encourage Customers to Leave Positive Reviews?

Customer reviews and ratings are key elements of a website. They help build trust and credibility, which is crucial for any business. They provide guarantee to the customer during the decision making process, easing them of uncertainty they may otherwise have.

Every minute, around the globe, people are having superb experiences of products and services. So, why they aren’t writing online reviews? Simple, they need encouragement!

Most people are happy to leave a review. You just need to give them a reason to feel good about your company. Encouraging your customers to write reviews can help advance your online reputation and get new clients.

Let’s dive into how customers are motivated to leave positive reviews:
  • A friendly reminder or verbal request is one of the most harmless but efficient ways to get customer reviews.  It shouldn't sound pushy or aggressive.  Just a simple note that you would love to hear from your customers and ask them to provide feedback on their experience is the best way to get good review.
  • Make it easy to leave reviews on your website by employing the use of product review solutions. Include a link to the review form on your website. If you want a high volume of customer reviews, you must consider building a customer feedback form into your website.
  • Publish good and bad reviews. Don't filter or alter negative reviews, as having a balance of both positive and negative reviews builds trust and credibility.
  • A post-purchase promotion e-mail is the ideal occasion to ask for a review. Sending out a friendly reminder via e-mail can be helpful to acquire more reviews. However, you must keep the reminder to a single e-mail as sending multiple may irritate the client.
  • You can also suggest customers to share reviews on social media. Employ links to individual reviews on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, and other social networks to facilitate social sharing.
  • Persuade consumers to upload videos of product reviews to YouTube.
  • Motivate customers to write reviews. But don't compensate anything to customers in exchange for positive reviews.
  • Once you gather reviews, use them sensibly on your website. Customers also like to see their comments appear online. This is a good tactic to get prospective customers as well as encouraging current clients to offer more feedback.
